January Monthly Meeting (RVA)

Our guest speaker this month is George Thompson, who is a sponsored partner of Call Federal Credit Union in Investments and Retirement. He is also Vice President, Wealth Management, CUNA Brokerage Services. George was a PM employee from 1976 to 1987, which he fondly refers to as “the golden years”. George’s topic is “Deficits, Debt, and Federal Interest Rates: What Does it Mean to Me?” With the common noise of media hype, scare tactics, and misinterpretation, it might be time to dissect the numbers. The things we can control can have a meaningful relationship to the rates and events around us. The numbers can be put in a “box” and can be discussed, one by one, and we can decide what they mean to us as individuals, and those in our families. George spoke to us in 2014 and was very well received. Come and hear his newest ideas on dealing with the seemingly confusing world of finance.
