Speaker: Matt DiNardo, WRIC, ABC, Channel 8 Weather

The Evolution of Weather Forecasting

Weather has been on the forefront of everyone’s mind from the recent arctic outbreaks to the historic hurricane season and the above average temperatures that we have had for the past couple of years.  What does it take to watch the weather patterns daily, make a forecast and bring it to you as news each morning?  Matt DiNardo has been a meteorologist for near 25 years and will give you some insight into the profession.  Plus he will answer all of the questions you wanted to ask but were always afraid to.  The weather is on all of our minds this time of year so come on out (weather permitting) and learn more.

Our meeting is cancelled if Chesterfield County Public Schools are closed.  If they are delayed, we will still meet. To determine the closing status, check the local TV news or you can click:  http://www.nbc12.com/category/221064/closings.  Online members will receive an email if a meeting is cancelled, and our website will be updated with the information.

Other Notes: Doors to the cafeteria open at 10:00 a.m. for fellowship and light refreshments.  Meeting starts promptly at 11:00 a.m.
