  • 26 Feb 2019
  • 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • R&D Lecture Hall

Speaker: Jennifer Flinchum, CPA, CFP, Keiter Advisors

Topic:  The Good, the Bad and the Tax Geek: Tax Strategies after the 2017 Tax Cuts & Jobs Act.  Jennifer’s presentation will cover significant changes to individual and estate taxation as a result of the 2017 Tax Cuts & Jobs Act.  The changes will impact both your 2018 Federal and VA income tax returns.  She will cover Roth conversions and estate/gift taxes. Our February meeting is perfect timing for this presentation.  Linda Warren located this speaker for us through her contacts at VCU.  You don’t want to miss this.

Notes: Our meeting is cancelled if Chesterfield County Public Schools are closed. If they are delayed, we will still meet. To determine the closing status, check the local TV news or you can click: http://www.nbc12.com/category/221064/closings. Online members will receive an email if a meeting is cancelled, and our website will be updated with the information.

Please feel free to invite a retiree friend who hasn’t attended a meeting in a while or has never attended. They will need a government issued picture ID to obtain entry to the property. If they arrive in your car, they do not need to be on the Security List, but if they are driving separately, please ask them to sign up on the website or send us an email at www.retireesconnection.org no later than noon on the Thursday before the meeting to be added to the Security List.

Doors to the cafeteria open at 10:00 a.m. for fellowship and light refreshments.  The meeting starts promptly at 11:00 a.m.

If you are not already a member of the Retirees Association, please consider joining.  Choose the JOIN tab on the home page of the website or click here:  New Member Application
